Get my estimateWhat records do you need from a manufacturer?
Records that show how work actually got done: production and inventory history, supplier quotes, DFM reports, NCRs and corrective actions, work instructions, and ERP or MES history. You don't need all of them. One well-documented dataset can qualify. The usual bar is 30+ employees, 3+ years of records and a US base, with records kept in real business systems.
Do we give up ownership of our data or IP?
No. You license a copy. Your original records stay in your systems, untouched, and you keep ownership. You approve the exact systems and date ranges in writing before anything is exported, and you can leave out any inbox, folder, tool or period. Nothing leaves until you sign.
How are customer, supplier and employee details handled?
Records are de-identified before delivery. Every person, customer, company name, address and account number in the agreed copy is replaced with a placeholder or removed. That includes your suppliers and your own staff. Highly sensitive fields, such as payment details and Social Security numbers, are removed entirely.
How much work is this for our team?
Usually a few hours from whoever administers your ERP, file shares and email. There's no cost to you, and you're never invoiced. The buyer pays Renaissance Data Lab a finder's fee when a deal closes. It doesn't come out of your offer and is disclosed in writing before you sign. Typically, it takes about 60 to 90 days from first call to payment.
Our customer contracts include confidentiality clauses. Can we still take part?
That depends on your contracts and obligations, and we don't give legal advice. Check with your own counsel. The buyer's legal team reviews scope with you before any export. Customer-owned drawings, NDA-bound material and export-controlled data are reviewed during scoping and can be excluded.
Does the eligibility check commit us to anything?
No. The check is free, takes about a minute and creates no obligation. If you qualify, the final offer comes in writing after a review of your actual systems and data volume. Nothing leaves your systems until you sign.
